Mia Harmon is a certified healthcare compliance professional with more than a decade of experience in healthcare compliance and operations, healthcare privacy, and law. As PAN’s Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer, Mia leads oversight and implementation of the organization’s compliance and privacy programs. She is also responsible for fostering a culture where ethical and compliant behavior is practiced throughout the organization.
Mia previously served as Chief Compliance Officer for CHE Behavioral Health Sciences, a multi-specialty, clinic-based group of licensed professionals dedicated to increasing access to mental health services and reducing the stigma of mental health conditions. Prior to that role, she spent several years as Physician Practice Compliance Officer with Tenet Physician Resources. She also held various compliance roles with companies like D4C Dental Brands, Inc., WellStar Health System, and Gwinnett Medical Center.
Mia holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Arkansas—Fayetteville and a bachelor’s degree in human communication studies and legal communications from Howard University. She also holds the Certified in Healthcare Compliance and Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance certifications from the Health Care Compliance Association. In her free time, Mia enjoys horseback riding and she is a Girl Scout troop leader.
